Conditions and Procedure for Affiliation, Issue and Renewal of Certificate with Rabta-e-Madaris-e-Islamia Arabia, Darul Uloom Deoband
Condition 1)
Only those madrasas may become members of Rabta-e-Madaris-e-Islamia Arabia, Darul Uloom Deoband, which adhere to the beliefs of Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jama‘ah and agree with the approach of the scholars of Deoband, and where Arabic classes are conducted according to the pattern of Darul Uloom Deoband, or Hifz together with Tajweed is taught systematically through prescribed books and examined.
Condition 2)
The madrasa must have at least twenty-five (25) aided resident students.
Condition 3)
For affiliation, an application addressed to the Mohtamim of Darul Uloom Deoband should be submitted on the madrasa’s official letterhead, signed by the madrasa’s Mohtamim or Head Teacher, to the Central Office of Rabta-e-Madaris-e-Islamia Arabia, Darul Uloom Deoband.
Condition 4)
The names of students in the highest class taught at the madrasa, the marks obtained by them in each book in the annual examination, and a photocopy of the examiner’s report should be submitted along with the membership form and other required documents.
Condition 5)
The Membership Form and Information Form must be completed with full care. New madrasas seeking membership must complete both forms; existing member madrasas applying for renewal need complete only the Information Form.
Condition 6)
A President of Rabta-e-Madaris is appointed in each province/state. Certification by the President of the relevant province or zone must be submitted with the forms. Only after this certification can the affiliation process with Rabta-e-Madaris-e-Islamia Arabia, Darul Uloom Deoband proceed, and the Central Office may issue the concerned madrasa an Affiliation Certificate (membership confirmation).
2. Documents Required for Renewal
Documents Required for Renewal
The following documents must be attached for renewal of the certificate:
Document 1)
An application for renewal on the madrasa’s letterhead addressed to the Mohtamim of Darul Uloom Deoband.
Document 2)
A completed Information Form, certified by the President of the Rabta for the relevant province/state.
Document 3)
Names of students in the final class, marks obtained in each book in the annual examination, together with the examiner’s report.
Document 4)
A copy of the previous Affiliation Certificate.

Madrasat-ul-Banat (girls’ madrasas) are not made members of Rabta-e-Madaris under this document.

The documents listed above should either be submitted by hand at the Central Office of the Rabta or sent by registered post.
